When you hear" Japanese quality" you immediately think of companies like Honda or Suzuki. But not many people know, that buying a Japanese car does not necessarily mean buying a popular Honda, as under the name of Rover 400 lies East Asian reliability and English style.
The used Rover 400 is a twin of the almost cult Honda Civic sedan, but with a slightly different front. Unlike the Japanese equivalent, the used Rover 400 seems to be of better quality, especially in the means of interior. Great leather upholstery and a wooden trim seems a constant in most of the used models, presenting a classic, modest English style and luxury that is hard to find for such a bargain price. The steering wheel is thick and the controls are all in their rightful place. Space is enough for everyone, though the roof in the back seats might be a bit low for the higher passengers. The engines are that of Honda' s, so you might easily expect perfect reliability, good level of power, great dynamics and fuel-efficiency. Equipment is sufficient in the used Rover 400, with Abs, immobilizer, airbags, power steering, electric windows and mirrors, air-conditioning, remote central locking and a cd radio in most available versions, though it seems reasonable to pay a bit more and get stylish alloy wheels, metallic paint, chrome finish and leather upholstery. With the parts practically the same as in Honda Civic, it is unbelievable why the used Rover 400 is not more popular among buyers.
